Overview: Direct Counsel, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Insurance Specialist to join their team in the nation's capital. With a strong background in regulatory and corporate law, this individual will advise clients on complex insurance matters, including company formations and compliance with relevant regulations.

Salary Range: $245,000-$315,000 per annum, based on experience level, education/training, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance and hours-based bonus program, providing additional earning potential.

About the Role: As a Regulatory Insurance Specialist at Direct Counsel, you will be responsible for advising clients on regulatory and corporate insurance matters, including forming companies and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. You will draft, review, and negotiate reinsurance agreements, program agreements, and broker agreements, as well as assist in the formation of captive insurance companies and provide ongoing regulatory compliance advice.

Requirements: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, admission to the bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to waive in. 3-5 years of experience in regulatory and corporate law, preferably at a law firm. Strong understanding of state and federal insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
