America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) is a dynamic and growing organization seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Counsel to join our team in Washington D.C. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in shaping healthcare policy and regulation at the state level.
About the Job:The Senior Regulatory Counsel will be responsible for advancing AHIP's state regulatory agenda primarily with state regulators, at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and other state-focused external policy and regulatory organizations. This role requires strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advocate AHIP policy interests at the NAIC, with state regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Staff NAIC national meetings, committees, work groups, and task-forces.
- Lead AHIP's policy and advocacy engagement at the NAIC and other assigned state-focused external policy and regulatory organizations.

- Juris Doctorate required.

$140,000 per year, based on the seniority and qualifications of the candidate. This compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits plan, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
