About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities Management to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement business plans that support the company's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Participate in capital equipment allocation and capital improvements to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Facilities Management
    • Schedule equipment installations and capital improvement projects to minimize disruptions and ensure timely completion.
    • Operate the department within budget guidelines, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Maintain the facility by assigning work orders and PMs, and following up to ensure work is completed.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Lead the facilities team to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
    • Communicate regularly with senior management, department directors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA and Joint Commission requirements.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to support the company's goals and objectives.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospital Administration, or Technical Training, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with OSHA compliance and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Skills

CHFM or CBET certification within 1 year of employment is preferred. A working knowledge of engineering and basic safety principles in a healthcare setting is also desirable.
