About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Carter's team as a Sample Coordinator, supporting the Product Development department in managing samples, coordinating logistics, and providing administrative assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Coordination: Order, track, and distribute samples from overseas vendors to support Design, Product Development, Sales, and Marketing needs.
  • Sample Management: Consolidate samples and materials in the NY office, pack, ship, and track as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Order production goods from domestic distribution centers, track shipments, and ensure business needs are met.
  • Sample Organization and Maintenance: Organize samples within limited space in the NYC office, lend out as needed, and track to ensure interdepartmental needs are met.
  • Packing and Shipping Materials: Manage packing and shipping materials to ensure adequate supplies are on hand to support all teams' needs.
  • Photo Sample Process: Manage the photo sample process between the NY office and Atlanta-based studio.
  • Spare Parts Procedure: Coordinate needs between the US-based Consumer Affairs team and China office.
  • Showroom Set-ups: Assist in showroom set-ups as needed, including ordering products, setting, and re-setting to meet business needs.
  • Trade Show Support: Support sales and marketing teams in ordering, organizing, and shipping all samples and other materials needed for international and domestic trade shows.
  • Financial Management: Manage invoices for relevant expenses.
Additional Responsibilities
  • File Management: Organize and maintain digital file structure and collaboration platform, including creation of new project folders/pages and archiving files at project completion.
  • Research and Administration: Research and purchase competitive samples as needed, and support additional admin duties as required.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in CPG product development.
  • Education: 4-year degree preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Children's product experience is a plus.
