About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transporting and restocking surgical instrumentation and medical materials in the surgical suites and Sterile Processing Department
  • Receiving, sorting, cleaning, and decontaminating soiled reusable instruments and equipment
  • Loading and operating cleaning and decontamination equipment, including automatic washers and sterilizers
  • Inspecting, preparing, and sterilizing surgical instruments and materials
  • Assembling trays and packets of instruments and medical supplies for surgical procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer requests and resolving problems
Requirements
  • Certification of Sterile/Central Processing
  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in Sterile Processing, preferably with a strong knowledge of instrumentation and power surgical instruments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
