Job Title: Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at Cutting Edge Printing - Tampa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all phases of the project, from initial planning to final delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily production meetings to review project status and prioritize tasks.
  • Monitor incoming and in-production orders to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Follow established systems and procedures to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Determine and set priorities for the production area to meet customer deadlines and requirements.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure seamless logistics.
  • Order stock and supplies as needed to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Reject poor-quality or incorrect jobs and schedule them for rework when necessary.
  • Initiate employee appraisals and disciplinary measures according to company policy.
  • Create an employee schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
Requirements:
  • Three years of supervisory experience with 3 or more employees.
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.
  • Ability to lead and build a team.
  • Knowledge of all facets of print production, including digital press, bindery, prepress, and copying.
Preferred Skills:
  • Use and update as necessary the computerized pricing/estimating program.
  • Serve customers by taking orders and processing them accordingly.
  • Accept and produce copy jobs as needed.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
  • Experience maintaining various print production equipment, digital presses, cutters, and bindery equipment.
