Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Igov. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling equipment items, parts, and materials into approved equipment configurations using approved processes and procedures to meet established production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble equipment items, parts, and materials into approved equipment configurations using approved processes and procedures.
  • Verify equipment inventories prior to assembling designated systems.
  • Follow approved processes for building equipment systems and perform quality checks on completed products.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly, and free from safety issues.
  • Utilize approved International Standards Organization (ISO) compliant processes and procedures established for the production section in assembling equipment products.
  • Assist with submitting equipment withdrawal orders to Logistics for the components, parts, and materials needed to assemble into specified equipment system types.
  • Conduct inventory of components and material received from Logistics for specified equipment system build-outs.
  • Report any inventory discrepancy, damaged equipment, or other issue to the Production Manager.
  • Assemble/build designated equipment systems in accordance with the production schedule and guidance from the Production Manager.
  • Prepare equipment for assembly/integration.
  • Install internal components as required.
  • Capture equipment serial number data into the system of record using a hand-held scanner or manually.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed systems to ensure a high quality and compliance with build procedures.
  • Perform functional testing of the completed equipment systems to ensure they perform properly.
  • Inventory final product using system of record inventory reports.
  • Assist in transfer of completed products to Logistics for delivery/disposition.
  • Inform Production Manager when bench stock items (trash bags, boxes, label materials, etc.) are running low.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe to include timely removal of trash and cardboard.
  • Assist in updating production documentation when necessary.
  • Modify End User Device (EUD) BIOS settings to Program Standards.
  • Load/Update Firmware and Drivers as needed.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements as appropriate.
  • Fill out timecards accurately and on a daily basis.
  • Assist with replication/duplication and distribution of approved software baselines as directed.
  • Assist with replication/duplication of Student, Software, and Business Development CDs/DVDs when required.
  • Be punctual in arriving at work; notify supervisor/Manager for any planned (vacation, personal time off) and unplanned (late to or unplanned absence from) work absence.
  • Perform other tasks as required in support of production tasks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in production/assembly of equipment systems.
  • Mechanical skills - knowledge of and capability to use hand tools and equipment.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Good problem-solving ability and able to perform basic math calculations.
  • Detail-oriented; focus on high level of quality.
  • Ability to multitask and keep pace with production schedule.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effectively use the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Metal Fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Radio and Communication equipment skills are a plus.
