Position Overview:
This role involves overseeing the management of IT server environments, ensuring the physical organization and safety of server spaces, and executing regular system updates outside of standard operational hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Address user inquiries for IT assistance in a timely manner.
- Maintain the availability of network and computing infrastructure during operational hours.
- Enhance data backup strategies and conduct routine backups.
- Diagnose root causes of operational challenges and inefficiencies.
- Generate reports and maintain documentation.
- Install requested hardware and software.
- Monitor security logs for any violations or unusual activities, reporting security concerns as necessary.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all configurations, architectures, installed software, user accounts, data flows, ports, protocols, and other relevant information for each IT system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with the Security Onion software suite (including Snort, pfSense firewall, Zeek, etc.).
- Familiarity with open-source or commercial IDS, IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Ansible.
- Experience managing commercial firewall equipment such as CheckPoint and Palo Alto.
