Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Apsilon Hotels. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and effective customer service to all guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Check guests in and out, ensuring that all procedures and policies are followed.
  • Act as the ambassador of the hotel, providing information to guests on all aspects of the hotel, including amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Review arriving reservations, pre-assigning rooms as necessary and ensuring that all special requests are met.
  • Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, preparing shift deposits accurately and following standard procedures.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all aspects of the PMS cash register operation, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Record messages, receive mail, and enter all wakeup calls accurately.
  • Handle all complaints efficiently and courteously, listening carefully to the guest's problem and taking immediate action to resolve the issue.
  • Post phone charges and any other charges incurred by guests during their stay, following standard procedures.
  • File folios, Reg cards, and reservations cards as necessary, and complete shift checklists before the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, reporting any safety hazards or violations to management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of related customer service work experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this position include standing and walking for long periods, talking and/or hearing, and occasionally reaching, climbing, or balancing. The work environment is typically moderate noise level.
