Job Summary

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING INC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Geologist/Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Project Geologist/Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as providing technical oversight and guidance to project management and staff personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring compliance with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to project management and staff personnel, including the preparation of reports and review of documents prepared by project managers, staff engineers, and geologists.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Interface and negotiate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, as well as clients and stakeholders, to resolve complex issues and technical solutions.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies to grow the company's environmental consulting practice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional environmental consulting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Professional registration as a Geologist or Engineer is preferred.
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary project teams and developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface and negotiate with regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
  • Proficient with MS Office software.
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills.
