About the Role

PacRim Engineering is a leading engineering consulting firm that offers its clients exceptional, innovative, professional engineering consulting services. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team of managers, engineers, and designers, representing the industry's top talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general civil engineering work under the direct supervision of a project manager for clients in various markets.
  • Apply fundamental engineering training, knowledge, and experience to deliver tasks and project types, including engineering studies and site investigation reports, land development designs, preparation of Basis of Design (BOD), preparation of fully designed plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E), and other engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction support.
  • Support the efforts of a Project Manager in team supervision and execution of various projects, including:
    • Site Engineering Design associated with buildings and parking
    • Street improvement design
    • Pavement rehabilitation
    • Rough and precise grading plans
    • Storm design and drainage calculations
    • Potable and reclaimed waterlines design
    • Sewer pipe design
    • Flood control improvements
    • Freeway and interchange improvements
    • Specifications
    • Utility coordination
    • Permit processing
    • Construction support
Requirements
  • Team leadership experience
  • Preferred knowledge of public works and government agency processes
  • Skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare engineering reports with the guidance of a project manager or senior individual
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (ABET) is required
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of civil engineering experience
  • EIT License (in California), preferred
  • Experience working with government agencies like the Navy will be considered a plus
