Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving the standardization of financial operations across Panasonic Automotive Systems of America (PASA). Your focus will be on the enhancement of future financial systems that facilitate the efficient flow of information, thereby supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
YOUR MISSION:
Your primary responsibility will be to aid in the harmonization of financial processes within PASA while also contributing to the development of advanced financial systems. Collaborate with IT and key stakeholders to identify and rectify existing challenges and inefficiencies in financial operations through the effective utilization of financial tools and systems.

  • Engage with IT, finance, and critical business partners to pinpoint current challenges in financial processes and collaboratively design and implement improvements.
  • Create detailed process maps to serve as essential references for financial system and process design, promoting a unified vision across PASA.
  • Lead training initiatives aimed at enhancing user proficiency in PASA financial systems.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among finance and accounting teams across various locations.
  • Assist in establishing a shared service center of excellence by collaborating with diverse financial disciplines to define a future-state design that leverages best practices in financial systems.
  • Promote a culture centered on process improvement, ensuring robust internal financial controls are established and maintained.
  • Act as a champion for Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies within the finance and accounting domain, emphasizing process simplification and automation.
  • Proactively monitor changes in the business landscape that may necessitate adjustments in financial processes or system designs.
  • Advise on enhancements to the existing financial system framework to ensure PASA remains aligned with industry-leading financial technologies.
  • Mentor and develop financial teams, nurturing the next generation of financial leaders within Panasonic.
  • Coordinate organizational activities, setting priorities and sequences to achieve designated objectives.
  • Support senior management in daily operational decision-making and provide insights on various aspects of organizational management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; technical degrees with relevant finance experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience with SAP ERP systems is essential; familiarity with various financial disciplines is a plus.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications necessary for the role.
