Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Consultant plays a crucial role in managing and supervising various finance and accounting functions for the North America sector by executing the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts and reviews monthly account assessments and reconciliations.
- Establishes, interprets, and analyzes intricate accounting records and financial statements.
- Aids in the preparation of financial statements.
- Executes monthly general ledger closures.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts.
- Prepares and evaluates monthly journal entries and reports.
- Ensures the accuracy of financial statements and adherence to GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Assists in the annual external audit and budgeting processes.

Analytical Duties:
- Prepares analytical reviews of profit and loss statements and balance sheets for individual legal entities as well as for the North America region.
- Conducts analysis and quality reviews of half-year and year-end reporting packages according to HGB.
- Develops and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) for North American legal entities concerning cash flow and liquidity.

Reporting and Compliance:
- Validates and analyzes actual, economic, and strategic plan figures at the legal entity level while assisting in the annual budget planning process by creating reports and presentations.
- Responsible for consolidating actual results, economic plan projections, and forecast projections for North America, leading to the creation of consolidated financial statements.

Management Reporting:
- Prepares management reports for regional executive management as well as global corporate requirements.
- Acts as the primary contact for regional finance regarding accounting inquiries.
- Optimizes accounting and finance processes by recommending, implementing, and managing policies and procedures to enhance reporting efficiencies.

Special Projects:
- Contributes to and coordinates special projects (e.g., mergers and acquisitions).
- Oversees monthly and quarterly reporting submissions to upper management, including consolidated financial statements, monthly reports, and variance analyses.
- Compiles the North America group account variance analysis.
- Assists GL teams in preparing business valuations, reviewing and submitting to the audit team for approval before final submission.

Process Improvement:
- Applies lean operation principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously enhance processes.
- Ensures appropriate methodologies, measurements, tools, and qualitative techniques (e.g., data collection, simulation, statistics) are utilized in projects.
- Identifies root causes of issues using 8-D and 5-Why methodologies, developing countermeasures and assessing the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Data Analysis:
- Utilizes statistical tools when working with large datasets to perform analyses and reporting on various projects, including data trend analysis and implementing corrective action plans.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or controlling.
- Familiarity with German GAAP is preferred.
- Proficient in software applications (e.g., Excel, MS Word).
- Strong management skills to supervise professional staff effectively.
- Capable of driving continuous improvements within the department, such as lean six sigma concepts.
- Excellent time management skills to anticipate, plan, and execute assignments.
- High level of independent judgment, professionalism, and integrity.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Robotics/Automation is a plus.
