Clinical Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:
The Clinical Risk Management Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the hospital risk management program, including all regulatory compliance activities. This position will serve as a risk management representative for committees within the Continuous Quality/Patient Safety and Risk Management programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the reliability learning tool to recognize and address patient safety/risk exposures affecting the quality of care and outcomes.
- Aggregate, analyze, and prepare data reports for presentation.
- Facilitate the Risk Management Program, including identification, analysis, planning, and implementation focusing on events which resulted or could have resulted in adverse risk or a compromise to patient or environmental safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field is required.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience is required.
- Acute care hospital experience, in addition to a risk management background, is strongly preferred and helpful for success in this role.
- Three (3) years of risk management, quality management, legal, or patient safety experience is preferred.
- Registered Nurse (TX RN) or another appropriate clinical licensure is required.
- CPHRM - Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management is preferred upon hire.
