Job Overview:
As a vital member of the Timber Pizza Company Annapolis team, the Frontline Service Associate serves as the initial point of contact for patrons entering our establishment. This role is essential in ensuring that every guest enjoys a welcoming and pleasant experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, guiding newcomers through our processes, and accurately handling orders and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Punctually arrive for your shift dressed in the appropriate uniform.
  • Execute Opening Procedures to guarantee that the front of house is well-stocked, organized, and clean for service.
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, providing them with menus.
  • Identify first-time visitors and clearly explain our seating and ordering procedures.
  • Build rapport with returning guests by remembering their names and usual orders.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Offer recommendations to enhance the guest experience when appropriate.
  • Accurately take and enter guest orders into the system.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Express gratitude to every guest.
  • Answer phone calls when possible.
  • Handle and ring up takeout orders.
  • Maintain an organized counter and ensure menus are stocked throughout your shift.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist team members as needed.
  • Follow company protocols for managing service breakdowns and guest complaints.
  • Adhere to legal requirements and company standards when serving alcohol.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards during your shift.
  • Complete Closing Procedures to ensure the front of house is properly shut down at the end of service.
  • Fulfill assigned side work duties.
  • May participate in deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for hospitality and serving others.
  • High energy and stamina to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Proficient in using technology for order entry and payment processing.
  • Capable of remaining calm and effective under pressure.
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to meet essential job functions with reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of the workplace.

Compensation:
This position offers competitive pay, with an hourly rate of $17.50. Job types available include both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Restaurant Type:
Casual dining establishment with a focus on a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Weekly Schedule:
Availability for shifts every weekend, Monday to Friday, rotating weekends, and as needed.
