IDEX Fire and Safety specializes in the production of equipment utilized by municipal fire departments.

We are in search of a highly capable and driven Electronics Sales Manager to join our dynamic team.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with spearheading the sales of electronic components that govern systems in emergency vehicles, including firetrucks and ambulances.

Your focus will be on achieving consistent growth, exploring and entering new markets, and ensuring our offerings align with the changing demands of our clientele.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Operate autonomously to uncover opportunities that enhance the sales and distribution of Weldon Electronics and other IDEX Fire and Safety products across North America.

- Formulate and implement a comprehensive business strategy.

- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and cultivate new business prospects within the fire and safety sector.

- Collaborate with the team to pinpoint credible opportunities for advancing sales, delivery, and commissioning of both new and existing products.

- Develop, educate, and assist channel partners, OEMs, and dealers to stimulate growth in the fire and safety markets.

- Provide valuable Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to inform growth strategies that are beneficial to the industry.

- Seek potential growth avenues through partnerships, third-party collaborations, and prospective acquisitions.

- Deliver actionable intelligence and market insights to support strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the electronics market.

- Recommend and engage in New Product Development initiatives, as necessary.

- Offer market and opportunity updates utilizing company reporting tools.

- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 75%).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent organizational capabilities.

- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


- Bachelor's degree in sales, engineering, electrical engineering, or technology with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (recent graduates may be considered based on academic performance; a master's degree is advantageous).

- Experience in technical sales and support within the fire and safety sector.

- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities simultaneously.

- Self-driven with the capability to work independently.

- Proven history of meeting sales objectives and fostering business growth.

- Strong technical understanding of electronic components and control systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role necessitates travel to job sites, typically at manufacturing facilities associated with OEMs.
