Job Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Academic and Clinical Leader to join our team at VCU Health and the VCU School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the clinical, education, research, and administrative missions of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership experience in an academic setting, with a focus on growing clinical, education, and research programs. They will be responsible for collaborating with health system, school of medicine, and university leaders to achieve the goals of the division and the institution.

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic thinker who can work across disciplines and organizational units. The successful candidate will have a strong publication record, experience working with diverse faculty, staff, and students, and a track record of mentoring junior faculty and learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in achieving its clinical, education, and research goals
  • Collaborate with health system, school of medicine, and university leaders to drive the division's mission
  • Mentor junior faculty and learners to achieve their career goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical and research expertise in metabolism, insulin resistance, or type 2 diabetes mellitus and/or obesity
  • Successful history as an investigator with extramural funding, including federal and/or industry sources
