Position Overview

Salary: $18-$20

Anew Behavioral Health is in search of a skilled and personable Intake Administrative Specialist. This role is pivotal as the initial point of contact for our clients, necessitating outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients warmly upon arrival and inform providers of their presence.
  • Check clients in for appointments and ensure all necessary documentation is scanned into the electronic health record.
  • Conduct insurance verification and collect co-payments at the time of service.
  • Schedule new client intake appointments, providing clear instructions on what to bring and what to expect.
  • Orient clients to the facility, sharing essential information regarding patient rights and privacy.
  • Answer incoming calls efficiently and professionally, addressing inquiries about appointments and services.
  • Confirm and update client information in our systems, ensuring accuracy.
  • Facilitate the scheduling of follow-up appointments and assist clients at the conclusion of their visits.
  • Address client concerns promptly and work collaboratively with the billing department to resolve any insurance-related issues.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Manage correspondence and maintain organized records of appointments and cancellations.
  • Participate in company training sessions and team meetings as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with online EHR systems. A strong understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential.

Education:

A high school diploma is required, with preference given to candidates holding an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field.

Experience:

Prior experience in customer service or appointment scheduling is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Background Check:

All candidates must successfully pass federal and state background checks as part of the hiring process.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, typically scheduled Monday through Friday.
