Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Quality Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care by facilitating problem resolution for cases with non-conformances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a case resolution process and error reporting infrastructure for the department.
  • Collaborate with staff, supervisors, managers, and pathologists to resolve pathology cases with non-conformances.
  • Provide timely feedback and resolution to relevant personnel for reported non-conformances.
  • Perform follow-up audits to assess compliance with corrective actions.
  • Compile data for quality presentations and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
  • NY state technologist or technician license
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement methodology and practices.

The salary range for this role is $117,080.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
