We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation and control systems for our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial controls and automation, with experience in programming PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs. You will also have a solid understanding of industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.

As a Controls Engineer, you will work closely with our clients to understand their automation needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. You will also be responsible for implementing control strategies to enhance production processes and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation and control systems for industrial processes
  • Program PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs
  • Implement control strategies to enhance production processes and increase efficiency
  • Work closely with clients to understand their automation needs and develop solutions
  • Collaborate with external equipment vendors to align control development strategies with client requirements
  • Perform testing and validation of control systems to ensure they are reliable and functional
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting expertise for deployed equipment

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial controls and automation
  • Strong background in programming PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs
  • Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP
  • Experience in implementing control strategies to enhance production processes and increase efficiency
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
