About the Role

**Job Summary:**

The Yard Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the lumber and building material warehouse and yard, ensuring seamless supply chain logistics and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Manage Daily Operations:**
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of lumber and building materials
    • Ensure efficient inventory management and minimize stockouts
  • **Supervise Warehouse and Yard Staff:**
    • Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet business needs
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • **Supply Chain Logistics:**
    • Manage the flow of goods from receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency
  • **Safety and Compliance:**
    • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed
  • **Equipment Maintenance:**
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of yard and warehouse equipment

Requirements:
