Position Overview:

Chewy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee initiatives within our Fulfillment Center. In this role, you will collaborate with our Fulfillment Operations teams to optimize the use of current technologies and implement new tools designed for fulfillment center efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support to Operations across all Fulfillment Centers, ensuring seamless communication between Operations and Chewy's WMS Technical Product Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Prioritize and resolve incidents related to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) while collaborating with third-party vendors to enhance system integration.
  • Engage with product teams to facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements before deployment in the Fulfillment environment.
  • Act as a mentor and knowledge resource for colleagues, promoting best practices within the Fulfillment Execution Support team.
  • Deliver solutions for high-priority incidents and other business-defined tasks to support operational growth.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships across multi-functional teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Guide team members on the integration of Chewy WMS with third-party vendor systems to address operational incidents.
  • Conduct UAT for new software and troubleshoot existing software issues.
  • Create and present training documentation for new applications and processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both Fulfillment and Technology partners regarding system functionality and operational standards.
  • Support critical issues as the primary on-call resource, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with third-party vendors to align their work with Chewy's operational metrics and system stability.
  • Identify project opportunities and collaborate with operations teams to assess needs and potential returns on investment.
  • Facilitate consistent communication and data exchange between operations and internal partners.
  • Assist in maintaining metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform key business decisions.
  • Travel as necessary to support the rollout of new technologies and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and management systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in math, statistics, and written/verbal communication.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Office, SQL or DBViz, and familiarity with Smartsheet, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams and collaborating with warehouse operations leadership and IT.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage organizational change processes effectively.
  • Track record of identifying and recommending operational improvements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with vendors to provide effective solutions.
