Position Overview:
Chewy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to enhance our Fulfillment Center operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with our Fulfillment Operations teams to optimize the utilization of current technologies while implementing new fulfillment center solutions. A solid understanding of ecommerce fulfillment processes and extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential to effectively connect operational workflows with system architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support to Operations across all Fulfillment Centers, excluding Pharmacy FCs, acting as the liaison between Operations and Chewy's WMS Technical Product Managers and Software Engineers.
- Prioritize incidents and communicate solutions specific to WMS and vendor integrations managed by Chewy WMS.
- Engage with third-party vendor representatives and collaborate with Chewy's technical support teams to resolve integration challenges.
- Work alongside FExT product teams to ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) is conducted prior to deployment in the Fulfillment environment.
- Serve as a mentor and knowledge resource for colleagues, promoting the FExT Support team.
- Meet deadlines and deliver solutions for critical incidents while managing additional tasks to support business growth.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to bridge process gaps and enhance efficiency.
- Define and implement standard operating procedures that drive impactful results.
The ideal candidate will be adept at building relationships, thriving in matrixed and cross-functional settings, and influencing without direct authority. This individual will serve as a central communication hub for all stakeholders and must possess exceptional organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred degree in a related field.
- Experience and knowledge in warehouse operations and management systems are required.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and both verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in computer applications (Office, SQL or DBViz), with experience in Smartsheet, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), and SharePoint, as well as operational/fulfillment applications.
- Experience managing multi-functional teams and collaborating with warehouse operations leadership and IT or technical teams.
- Familiarity with structured task prioritization and organizational change processes.
- Proven track record of identifying and recommending operational improvements to meet evolving business needs.
- Demonstrated experience working with vendors to provide effective solutions.
