Position Overview:

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plays a crucial role in delivering essential social services, including comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and therapeutic interventions. This position involves advocacy, crisis management, case coordination, and facilitating connections to community resources, while also contributing to program development as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for both adult and pediatric clients facing intricate social, financial, cultural, and psychological challenges.
  • Provide short-term therapeutic services through various modalities, including in-person, telephonic, and virtual formats.
  • Offer case management support to individuals referred to the Behavioral Health Program.
  • Identify client challenges and strengths, formulate treatment plans, and meticulously document progress in alignment with established protocols.
  • Engage in regular individual and group supervision sessions, as well as departmental meetings.
  • Establish and maintain communication with referral sources, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Collaborate effectively with Behavioral Health, Medical, and Administrative teams to enhance patient care.
  • Stay informed about community resources and actively participate in community meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of educational and clinic materials as assigned.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through seminars, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration or licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (ACSW/AMFT/LCSW/LMFT) in good standing.
  • Progressing towards clinical licensure as an LCSW or LMFT.
  • Understanding of and ability to navigate a complex healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven skills in strategic planning, critical thinking, negotiation, and organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Consistent attendance and a strong performance history.
  • Demonstrated customer service aptitude appropriate for the role.
  • Capacity to maintain a work pace that aligns with workload demands.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Khmer is preferred.
