Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision for children.

  • Support the maintenance of program standards.
  • Participate in all staff training sessions and meetings.
  • Prepare and organize classroom and program spaces, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

A High School diploma is required, with previous experience in child-related roles preferred.

Language Proficiency

Excellent customer service skills necessitate effective communication with individuals and groups in English. Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety guidelines and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Willingness to seek assistance when necessary.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular use of hands and fingers, handling objects, reaching, and effective communication. The ability to stand and move throughout the facility and off-site areas is essential. Must be capable of lifting children weighing up to 45 pounds and navigating various environments.

Work Environment

The primary work area includes spaces designed for youth activities, which may include noise and typical child care clutter. Responsibilities may extend to other locations not controlled by the organization.
