We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist - Psychiatric Social Worker to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention to our members and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of members' mental health needs, including identifying psychopathology and developing timely and effective treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of members' treatment, including progress notes and treatment plans. Effectively communicate with members, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in mental health treatment, including the latest research and evidence-based interventions.
- Education: Master's degree in a related Behavioral Health Care field, such as Social Work or Counseling.
- Experience: Two years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Licensure: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California).
- Skills: Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and present with a range of mental health needs.
- Experience with Trauma and High Acuity Diagnoses: Previous experience working with members who have experienced trauma or have high acuity diagnoses, such as psychosis or substance use disorders.
