Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team. This role involves drafting contracts, issuing bids, managing contracts, and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and internal departments.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Drafting and reviewing services and equipment contracts in collaboration with Asset Management, Operations, and Legal teams.
  • Supporting commercial negotiations and contractual obligations within delegated scope of responsibility and adhering to Invenergy's procurement policies.
  • Developing a deep understanding of natural gas power plant technology to inform contract drafting and review.
  • Fostering critical supplier relationship management and developing strategies for future partnerships within areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Continuously managing contracts and processes to ensure efficiency and improvement.
  • Conducting studies and spend analyses to identify new or better sources of supply for products, services, or commodities within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Evaluating suppliers, products, and services to gather comparative information for use in developing proposals.
  • Preparing and evaluating formal and informal supplier bid and request for proposal packages for review and approval.
  • Analyzing market trends and assessing their impact on future activities, as well as evaluating suppliers based on organizational key performance indicators.
  • Providing training as needed and supporting the implementation of procurement processes across the business.
  • Additional duties or assignments as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or graduating with Bachelor's degree by Summer 2025.
  • 0 - 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in a transferable role or related industry.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics.
  • Proven and influential verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including exceptional attention to detail.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience in project management and strategic problem-solving.
  • Experience with commercial contracts and/or terms and conditions negotiations.
