Computed Tomography Technologist Imaging Services Specialist

A Computed Tomography Technologist Imaging Services Specialist performs CT procedures and related clerical functions at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Demonstrates ability and performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis. In addition to primary job duties of a CT Technologist, may also be required to perform Radiologic Procedures (X-Ray).
Responsibilities:
Education:
Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology
Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - Radiological Technologist Registry (ARRT) (R). Must maintain this primary registration at all times to be eligible for certification and registration
Experience:
1 year of experience as a staff radiologic technologist preferred. If a candidate does not have 1 year of experience as a staff radiologic technologist, after orientation the candidate will have an additional 3 month residency which they will work with another CT technologist
Credentials:
New York State License as a "General Radiologic Technologist" and current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
Within 18 months Post-Hire:
Associate must obtain Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - Computed Tomography Registry (ARRT) (CT) for all associates hired after 11/19/2023
Work Environment:
Good general health necessary in order to stand and walk most of the day. Must have the ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment
