Position Overview:
As a Recreation Coordinator for Memory Care at Burcham Hills, your primary responsibility will be to design and facilitate daily recreational programs that cater to the specific needs of our residents. This role will require you to create stimulating activities for both group gatherings and individual interactions, ultimately aiming to improve the overall well-being of our residents.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a monthly schedule of activities for the designated neighborhood, considering both collective and personal interests.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to the residents' care strategies and the overall recreational offerings.
- Keep precise records of resident engagement and modify activities based on individual preferences.
- Organize special events for the community and arrange transportation for residents as necessary.
- Qualifications:
- Preferably possess coursework in gerontology, recreation management, or related disciplines.
- Previous experience working with elderly populations in healthcare environments is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
