Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our acquisition team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the team to achieve program technical, cost, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings
  • Ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership
  • Plan, allocate, and direct the CIP and PPC programs
  • Participate in the formulation of acquisition and in-service support policy and best practices
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Qualifications

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band (DA-05) or grade level (GS-12/13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage aircraft weapon systems acquisition
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher-level procurement policies
  • Managing project/program requirements, objectives, and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources
  • Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities
  • Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command
  • Preparing, documenting, and presenting resources requirements to higher authority for review and approval
