Job Opportunity: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Midwest Equipment Company, a leading distributor of commercial food service equipment, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Greenwood, IN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash inflows and collections from clients by tracking and recording payments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, and uncollectible amounts are accounted for.
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including recording bank deposits, updating cash receipt logs, and posting cash, credit cards, and checks to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via email and mail.
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R to provide management with a better understanding of collection efforts.
  • Support other accounting and finance team members with inventory management and cost accounting.
  • Perform accurate accounting for rental and lease programs.
  • Set up accurate new customer accounts.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of administrative experience in an office environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
