We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Indiana Internal Medicine Consultants. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and coding of patient accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with billing inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform keying and posting of charges, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient accounts.
- Submit billing data to insurance providers and follow up on denied claims.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing and coding, with knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and Medicare guidelines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and practice management systems.
