Role Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble, populate, solder, and test electronic printed circuit board assemblies. The role also involves repairing boards at the component level.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Understanding of general electronic manufacturing processes and testing methodologies.
  2. Expertise in assembling printed circuit boards and soldering intricate components.
  3. Capability to interpret manufacturing orders, schematics, and procedural documentation.
  4. Dependability in attendance and punctuality.
  5. Basic knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) component placement machinery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install components such as switches, coils, transformers, and circuits into various units.
  • Prepare and organize parts for assembly.
  • Manage incoming inventory.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on completed printed circuit boards.
  • Operate computer-controlled automated machinery and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure quality assurance for all finished products.
  • Review work for precision, neatness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Accurately complete all work orders.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts as required.
  • Assess return merchandise authorizations and warranty claims.
  • Receive and evaluate electronic inventory.
  • Document diagnostic results using digital applications.
  • Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Execute other related tasks as assigned to meet departmental goals.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for addressing any concerns within the scope of work and report issues to management as necessary.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment while working in manufacturing or client facilities.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with at least six months of relevant experience in electronic assembly.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and assembly instructions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts for solving electronic problems.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software and tools.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Experience with soldering stations, reflow ovens, and basic hand tools.
  • Certifications: None required.
Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this role include regular sitting, use of hands for handling tools, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Employees may work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes and vibrations. Safety measures are in place to ensure a safe working environment.
