Role Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble, populate, solder, and test electronic printed circuit board assemblies. Additionally, the role involves repairing circuit boards at the component level.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and testing methodologies.
- Expertise in assembling printed circuit boards and soldering small components.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing orders, schematics, and both written and verbal instructions.
- Dependability in attendance and punctuality.
- Familiarity with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) component placement machinery.
- Install components such as switches, coils, transformers, and circuits onto circuit boards and panels.
- Prepare and organize parts for assembly.
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory.
- Conduct inspections and tests on completed printed circuit boards.
- Operate computer-controlled automated equipment and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
- Ensure quality assurance for all finished products.
- Examine work for precision, cleanliness, and adherence to specifications.
- Accurately complete all work orders for each task.
- Conduct routine inventory cycle counts.
- Evaluate returned merchandise and warranty claims.
- Document diagnostic results using digital applications.
- Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with at least six months of relevant experience in assembly.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and safety documents.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts relevant to electronic assembly.
- Reasoning Ability: Capability to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software and basic office applications.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with soldering tools, digital multimeters, and assembly machinery.
- Certifications: None required.
The physical demands of this position include:
- Regularly sitting, using hands for manipulation, and reaching with arms.
- Occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds and performing tasks that require mobility.
- Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Employees may work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes and vibrations. Hearing protection may be necessary in certain areas. The work environment is generally quiet, with occasional exposure to temperature variations.
