Corix is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment plants to ensure the production of safe and clean drinking water for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain water treatment plants, including pumps, motors, and chemical feeders
- Perform routine monitoring tasks, such as testing water quality and adjusting chemical feed rates
- Respond to water emergencies and perform related tasks as assigned
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations and water quality
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment
- Minimum of one year's experience as an operator in a water treatment plant rated at least a Class II by the State of Alaska
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
- Possession of a valid Level II or higher Water Treatment System Operator Certificate as issued by the State of Alaska
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in emergency situations
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above waist height and work in cramped, uncomfortable spaces
