Job Summary

This is a senior-level position responsible for leading the alignment of cross-functional transactional accounting teams to deliver key business objectives. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to internal and external teams, allocate and align resources, clarify priorities, and drive deliverables in alignment with corporate goals and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs the financial performance of assigned business areas by analyzing financial data, comparing data to third-party information, budgets, or actual results, and researching and reviewing associates' research of financial information.
  • Ensures audits are managed for timelines and accuracy, and facilitates the relationship between the team and internal customers and external specialists.
  • Understands end-to-end process for areas of responsibility and serves as Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise Business Services.
  • Analyzes balance sheet accounts and account reconciliations under areas of responsibility, ensures timely communication of issues and proper resolution, and analyzes and communicates financial risks to business partners.
  • Partners with Transformation and Business Integration team in identifying opportunities, providing subject matter expertise, developing requirements jointly with Transformation team, and ensuring deliverables meet objectives.
  • Oversees and reviews work performed by third-party partners, ensuring quality, timely delivery of service, and resolution of potential challenges and issues.
  • Directs the implementation of initiatives and process improvements in area of responsibility by communicating action plans to the team, leading teams through process changes, communicating the business case to key stakeholders, translating strategy into actionable plans, identifying and communicating areas of opportunity to senior leadership, and managing and allocating resources and budget for the department.
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance, providing resources, identifying performance standards, measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly, developing contingency plans, and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application, ensuring compliance with them, and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness, and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, with experience in directing financial performance, managing audits, and implementing process improvements. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to partner with internal and external teams to drive business objectives.

Walmart offers a competitive salary range of $80,000.00-$155,000.00, as well as additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. The company also offers a range of benefits, including 401(k) match, stock purchase plan, paid maternity and parental leave, PTO, multiple health plans, and more.
