Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner Trainee to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner Trainee, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings, including the intensive care unit and during transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including administering oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as spirometry and blood gas analysis, to assess patient respiratory function.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and medical histories.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory care services and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a respiratory care education program supported by CoARC or accredited by CAAHEP.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • At least one year of recent critical care experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak and understand spoken English.
