Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at AHMC Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our critical care setting. Under general supervision and medical direction, you will provide designated respiratory care therapies to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system and associated cardiopulmonary functions.

Responsibilities:

Follows appropriate Code Blue notification procedures.
Effectively prioritizes clinical interventions and care.
Ventilator set-up and operation.
Ventilator troubleshooting.
ETT Care.
Weaning and extubating.
Oxygen set-up/administration.
Arterial blood gas sampling/analysis.
Aerosol medications (nebulizer treatments).
Incentive spirometry.
Postural drainage/percussion.
Humidification therapy.
Suctioning (oral and ETT).
Pulse oximetry set-up/monitoring.
Sputum induction.
Intubation (Assist physician).
Oral airway management.
EKGs
Thoracentisis Assist
Bronchoscopy Assist
PFT Assist

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
Bilingual preferred
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Experience required
Minimum 1 year of bronchoscopy assist experience preferred
Pulmonary function experience preferred
Current CA license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Current BCLS-C Card
Current ACLS / PALS
Current RRT preferred
