Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Systems Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing research projects and technology maturation plans focused on growing our design, test, and integration capabilities in Energy Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop research projects and associated technology maturation plans to grow our design, test, and integration capabilities in Energy Systems.
  • Collaboration: Work across teams and sites to collaborate effectively with customers, stakeholders, researchers, and supporting engineers.
  • Feasibility Studies: Provide oversight on screening feasibility studies to allow down-select to a set of research projects/areas for execution.
  • Technical Leadership: Take lead on at least one research project, ensuring customer/product alignment, and guiding the continued development of the technology maturation plan.
  • Integration: Champion a technical focus on integration of Energy Systems within the existing engine/propulsor fuel-oil thermal management system.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace Engine Engineering Design and/or systems integration.

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Global Experience: Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams.
