  • Maintenance and Upkeep: Oversee the daily maintenance of campus grounds, including lawn care, gardening, and snow removal.
  • Turf Care: Implement and manage turf care practices, including fertilizing, irrigating, aerating, and overseeding.
  • Grounds Operations: Supervise and coordinate the work of grounds crew members, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Facilities Management: Collaborate with facilities staff to maintain and improve campus facilities, including parking lots, roads, and walkways.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Prepare and manage budgets for grounds operations, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with college policies.
  • Employee Supervision: Supervise and evaluate the performance of grounds crew members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of managerial experience in facilities or grounds maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work well with others, and experience with equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license, pesticide license, and Class 2A Hoisting license required.
