The Electrophysiology Program encompasses a broad spectrum of services, including the management of complex congenital heart surgeries, interventional catheterization, both invasive and non-invasive electrophysiology, advanced imaging techniques, and preventive cardiology.

Our pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery services are recognized among the best in the nation.


Position Overview

In the role of Medical Director of Electrophysiology, you will collaborate with the Chief of Cardiology to shape the strategic vision of the Electrophysiology Program.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of delivering expert care to patients with various cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices, as well as mentoring emerging faculty and trainees. A strong interest in clinical research and innovation is essential.

This position also involves working alongside adult electrophysiologists at affiliated hospitals to enhance care for older patients with congenital heart disease and arrhythmias.

The suitable candidate will be at the associate or full professor level, with a keen interest in new technologies such as pulsed field ablation and artificial intelligence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the electrophysiology program, overseeing diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions for patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Provide expert consultation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create tailored treatment plans for each patient.
  • Mentor and guide the professional growth of medical staff, young faculty, fellows, and residents in the field of electrophysiology.
  • Contribute to research and academic initiatives aimed at advancing electrophysiology.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications and Desired Attributes

MD degree or equivalent from an accredited medical institution, with a minimum of three years of fellowship training in pediatric cardiology and an additional year in a dedicated pediatric electrophysiology fellowship.

Unrestricted medical license and board certification in pediatric cardiology.

Certification as a Pediatric Electrophysiology Specialist.

Experience at the associate professor or full professor level, with expertise in both non-invasive and invasive management of cardiac arrhythmias.

Strong understanding of clinical and research operations, along with the ability to manage budgets effectively.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
