Customer Service Specialist Job Description

At The Sherwin-Williams Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our wholesale and retail customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Service: Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Relationship Building: Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Inventory Management: Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain precise work order files and formulas, pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, and stock shelves and set up displays.
  • Delivery and Logistics: Load/unload delivery trucks and assist in making deliveries as needed.
  • Product Knowledge: Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options with customers.
  • Compliance: Comply with inventory control procedures and suggest ways to improve sales.
Requirements:
  • Age: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Language: Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Driver's License: Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Education: Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Paint Industry Experience: Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products and operating tinting and mixing equipment.
