Job Summary

The Wastewater Treatment Facilities Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the wastewater treatment facility at Q-Cells. This role involves leading operators, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing efficient maintenance strategies, and contributing to the overall optimization of wastewater treatment facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise a team of technicians for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility.
Monitor and manage the deployment of shift personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Regularly report to the Utility Team Leader on work progress and issues.

Facilities Operation Management

Monitor and improve the operational performance of water treatment facilities (UPW, Water Recycle, and Water transfer system) conducting daily, weekly, and monthly management of performance (cost and quality).
Analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities, and establish action plans.
Prepare detailed performance reports and propose effective solutions for individual improvement.

Budget Formulation and Management

Oversee budget formulation for Utility facility operations, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
Monitor and implement cost-saving activities to achieve KPI targets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within public or industrial water treatment, manufacturing, or related industry.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians.
Fluency in Korean is a plus.
