Water Engineer

As a Water/Wastewater Engineer at HDR, you will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. You will work on water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects, conducting technical investigations and analyses, and preparing reports on water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes. You will also support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, and manage and lead specific tasks under the direction of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with projects through planning, design, and construction phases
- Conduct technical investigations and analyses
- Prepare reports on water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes
- Support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections
- Complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, and manage and lead specific tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
- Local candidates are preferred
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Previous experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
