Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our team at Rosewood Washington DC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality food production in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menu items, including hot and cold dishes, in accordance with our culinary standards and plating guide specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to state sanitation and health regulations, as well as hotel standards.
  • Collaborate with Sous Chefs to review assignments, anticipate business levels, and ensure seamless execution of kitchen operations.
  • Assist in training new cooks and provide guidance on kitchen procedures and protocols.
  • Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Line Cook in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to work all hot and cold stations in the kitchen, with a preference for raw bar/sushi/sashimi experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education, with a culinary training certificate preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
