Role Responsibilities:

This position involves executing quantitative analysis and modeling initiatives for designated business units or risk categories. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive market risk stress testing, which encompasses scenario design, implementation, results consolidation, and reporting.
  • Assisting in the strategic planning of quantitative priorities aligned with the bank's overarching goals.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through thorough reviews of model development and validation processes.
  • Providing support for model development and risk management to meet business needs and align with the enterprise's risk appetite.
  • Offering methodological and analytical guidance to influence the strategic direction of development and validation projects.
  • Collaborating closely with model stakeholders and senior management to communicate validation outcomes effectively.
  • Performing statistical analyses on extensive datasets and interpreting results through both qualitative and quantitative lenses.

The Global Markets Risk Management team serves as an independent oversight entity for the firm's trading activities. Within this team, the Global Market Risk Stress Testing group is responsible for managing critical enterprise processes and analyses that support the global markets business and senior risk management.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual dedicated to supporting market risk stress testing, including regulatory requirements and scenario analyses. Responsibilities will range from assessing emerging risks to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role will involve extensive collaboration across risk functions and other partners within the firm.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in the financial sector, particularly with market risk concepts.
  • A highly motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and propose process improvements.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
