Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Market and Liquidity Risk Management Officer to join our team at Truist. As a key member of our Risk Management Organization, you will be responsible for providing independent quantitative and qualitative assessments of our asset liability management and liquidity risk management practices and risk levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing oversight of our ALM risk management activities, including balance sheet positions and changes, key risk modeling assumptions, liquidity risk management, funds transfer pricing, and investment portfolio strategy.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance risk monitoring tools and processes to identify and assess ALM and liquidity risks within Truist and across peer institutions.
  • Assume a leadership role in the oversight and coordination of policy development, limit calibration and compliance, and the development, calibration and maintenance of a comprehensive Market Risk and Liquidity Risk Appetite Framework.
  • Prepare and present independent analysis to the Committee in support of MLRMs oversight goals.
  • Engage with mid-level Corporate Treasury personnel and subject matter experts to influence analytical methodologies that inform decision-making.
  • Develop and draft the comprehensive annual Interest Rate Risk / Liquidity Risk Oversight report.
  • Remain informed on macroeconomic, geopolitical, industry, and regulatory matters that could impact our risks and strategies.
Requirements
  • Four year college degree or equivalent education.
  • Minimum five years of experience in financial institution Risk Management, Regulatory Oversight, Corporate Treasury, or Investment Banking.
  • Expertise in relevant laws, regulations, and supervisory guidance with respect to interest rate risk and ALM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
  • Seven years of experience with large, complex financial institutions in a related field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting management or ALM management and forecasting applications.
