Position Summary
The Tasting Room Manager plays a crucial role in managing the Tasting Room and leading the front-of-house team. This position encompasses the oversight of daily operations, event programming, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained.
- Part-Time Position
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- On-site presence required
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to enhance and sustain the Tasting Room and its offerings.
- Supervise front-of-house staff regarding scheduling, time management, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the reservation system and manage reservation inquiries.
- Handle inventory and procurement for all Tasting Room supplies.
- Assist culinary and beverage teams with menu updates and execution.
- Plan and implement private and pop-up events, ensuring smooth logistics.
- Maintain budgetary records for all Tasting Room expenditures.
- Work with the operations team to keep menus and POS systems current.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room and storage areas.
- Foster respectful communication with kitchen and production teams to ensure cohesive service.
- Address guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of fermented beverages and a passion for customer service.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
- Professional demeanor in interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Availability for shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
- Quick-thinking and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
- Interest in breweries and fermentation is advantageous.
- Food Safety, TIPS, and/or ServeSafe certification preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
