Position Summary

The Tasting Room Manager plays a crucial role in managing the Tasting Room and leading the front-of-house team. This position encompasses the oversight of daily operations, event programming, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained.

  • Part-Time Position
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • On-site presence required


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to enhance and sustain the Tasting Room and its offerings.
  • Supervise front-of-house staff regarding scheduling, time management, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the reservation system and manage reservation inquiries.
  • Handle inventory and procurement for all Tasting Room supplies.
  • Assist culinary and beverage teams with menu updates and execution.
  • Plan and implement private and pop-up events, ensuring smooth logistics.
  • Maintain budgetary records for all Tasting Room expenditures.
  • Work with the operations team to keep menus and POS systems current.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room and storage areas.
  • Foster respectful communication with kitchen and production teams to ensure cohesive service.
  • Address guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of fermented beverages and a passion for customer service.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
  • Professional demeanor in interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Availability for shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
  • Quick-thinking and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Interest in breweries and fermentation is advantageous.
  • Food Safety, TIPS, and/or ServeSafe certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
