We are currently seeking a seasoned procurement expert to become a vital member of our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) procurement division. This role will focus on the Engineered Items purchasing team, where the selected candidate will spearhead procurement initiatives across various programs within the ASDS strategic business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct procurement and supplier management tasks to support both U.S. Government and commercial contracts.
  • Oversee and manage high-value and intricate material and service acquisitions from domestic and international vendors, including complex subcontract arrangements.
  • Employ source selection methodologies, gather and analyze data for price evaluations, lead negotiations (including terms and conditions), and assess supplier risks.
  • Ensure that all requirements (prime contract, quality standards, terms, and conditions) are effectively communicated to suppliers while managing their performance against cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate closely with program offices to devise innovative solutions for sourcing challenges.
  • Review procurement reports and drive performance to achieve corporate metric targets.
  • Maintain clear communication and demonstrate proactivity in a dynamic work environment, balancing flexibility and thoroughness while adhering to regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in mentoring and training fellow procurement professionals as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in placing purchase orders of medium to high complexity and value.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible for necessary export authorizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Department of Defense procurement and familiarity with Federal Acquisition regulations.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities, with a proven track record in leading formal negotiations and discussions.
  • Ability to perform and understand price and cost analysis, source selection justification, and supplier quotation assessments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence and engage with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting performance metrics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all phases of sourcing and procurement execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR) and experience in international procurement.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and productivity improvement practices.
  • Experience with Raytheon systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Level 4 acquisition certification and SAP experience are advantageous.
