Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Training Specialist to join our team at Bates Technical College. As a Medical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with courses taught within the Phlebotomy and Certified Medical Assistant programs.

Your primary duties will include supervising and instructing in clinical and lab settings, as well as traditional and online classrooms. You will also develop and schedule clinical externships for students and pursue additional clinical sites to conduct program courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective teaching techniques, instructional materials, and appropriate media support to conduct classroom lectures, coursework, and laboratory projects.
  • Provide individualized instruction and supervision in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Mentor, encourage, counsel, and guide students toward completion of program requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification or associate degree or bachelor's degree in Phlebotomy.
  • Current (or eligible for) State of Washington MA-P certification.
  • Teaching or training experience equivalent to 10 weeks.
  • Two years of recent full-time work experience in the clinical lab environment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $53,180 per year, based on a 20-hour workweek. The position offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
